****Update: I recently spoke with my surgeon who informed me that a hernia that I had previously had taken care of has returned and that I now need to have surgery much sooner than expected, before things get worse. My insurance will not cover a second hernia repair surgery and unfortunately it is very expensive. I have no choice but to have this surgery within the next 2 months. I am hoping to combine my hernia surgery with my final reconstructive surgery so that I can get everything done at once and close this chapter in my life. From that, I have needed multiple reconstructive surgeries and have been left with many scars. This surgery is very important to me because it is the final step on this journey.
